| 11 Jan 2001 | Etak the Thivis/Kate Shenk | I really like your dragons, no matter what the peanut gallery hovering over my shoulder thinks ('Hey!' they cry). It's just something about your scales and heads that just really appeals to my taste! | |
| 11 Jan 2001 | Andy | I do like this a lot. If you read the comments page, could you please post and say how you got the wings to look so organic and life like (and damn good) | |
| 12 Jan 2001 | Cynthia Cassidy | I'd just make the feet less curved, more talon-like, i.e raptor's feet, kinda. Then again, that's just how I draw them. Oh, for the person wondering, A3 is twice the width of a portrait-layn sheet of A4. A4 is the standard size of lined paper, photocopy paper, etc. | |
| 12 Jan 2001 | Kamikaze | Good work for a HS student. I would try to redo the elf's head and right arm. Try foreshortening and using more accurate proportions. Also, the dragon's head might need some modifications, but that is more my personal preference in dragons rather than your own skill. | |
| 12 Jan 2001 | Loren Cline | Cool picture if you do this good with black and white i think you should try coloring something. Anyway awsome work. | |
| 12 Jan 2001 | Leah Wolberg (Kithwynn, Keo) | How do you do those wings? They're amazing! Is it something you could teach me? | |
| 30 Dec 2001 | Julie R. Kowalski | Excellent dragon...do more! | |
| 4 Mar 2002 | Rebecca Mellor | At the risk of sounding like all the other people who have commented on here, the wings the wings, oh my god, the wings! They are stunning! They are immediatly eye catching and so realistic. I would say that you need to work on the shading of the tail. As it falls behind the dragon and his rider and your light source seems to be coming from high up in front of them both, the tail should be darker to suggest the shadow the body will make behind it. I'd like to see the whole picture, if possible! | |
| 31 Mar 2002 | Liu Yiqing | Very nice. The perspective on the dragon is brilliant, and I love the amount of detail on it -- i.e. the scales and the different tones of the shading. The elf also seems to be naturally positioned on the dragon's back -- but is his arm a little too big? Nevertheless, lovely work. | |
| 15 Jan 2003 | Kendra Tucker | It's a very cool idea, I really like how the elf's shooting magic at something. THe scales on the dragon are magnificent!!! Gorgeous. Wow!~ Andy J Bradley replies: "Thx Kendra. Its an old drawing that i've not really thought about since i stopped working on it. I might go back and fix some of the mistakes, but more likely i'll start again doing something similar." | |
